"You take your life in your own hands and what happened? A terrible thing: No one to blame."
Not being able to blame someone or something for our disdain isn't fun. We are mostly addicted to fending off responsibility.
When we change our minds and step into the commanding role, we soon learn how addicted to blame we actually are. It's at that point we reach a crossroads:
Do I move ahead as master of my ship, or do I once again retreat beneath the deck and let someone else steer? And then bitch when it doesn't go my way?
It's my call. Safety is strong attractor. But life is grander when I take the wheel.
I choose to be captain.
