Scoundrel, Saint: Why Thomas Jefferson Still Matters

The Truth and Thomas Jefferson: 18th Century Wisdom in a 21st Century World

A lot of words have been ascribed to Thomas Jefferson, some accurately, others not so much. But if these words are actually from his brain, then he was indeed our contemporary. Read and be amazed:

"Nothing can now be believed which is seen in a newspaper. Truth itself becomes suspicious by being put in that polluted vehicle."

Looks like nothing has really changed, except maybe the fact that you can now throw in TV, the internet, Smart Phones, texting, and computer hacking.

Seems truth is as elusive as ever.

You Say You Love. Do You Serve?

Service: The Heart of Christianity, The Heart of Faith Itself...

It's simple, it's clear, it's spot on...

Matthew 22:36-40

"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Love is not simply a feeling; it's action.
"It's no use walking anywhere to preach unless your walking is your preaching." Meister Eckhart
