Have you considered volunteering?

A slew of organizations are waiting for you to sign up, to share your gifts and talents, to become part of the vast network of folks who serve the world every day.

I cannot think of anything that gives me more pleasure than volunteering. As you can see in the photos, I get to meet all kinds of new and interesting people. It widens the view, broadens the horizons, and gives a sense of satisfaction.

It's absolutely the best way to be selfish. When you give of your time, your efforts, and yes, your dollars if you choose, not only does the organization benefit, but you do as well. We're all selfish, whether we admit it or not. Volunteering is the way to channel that selfishness.

The organization wins; you win.

A great way to begin, if you haven't already, is to take a look at VolunteerMatch.com. You'll find so many opportunities to help, it may be a bit overwhelming at first. Don't let that stop you. Keep looking and eventually you'll find a way to serve that utilizes the very best you have to offer.

Welcome to the wonderful world of joy filled service!
