Meditation: Simply Powerful

By Richard Kent Matthews - Coach | Author | Speaker

Mindful meditation can change your life.

Meditation is simple, yet powerful. Some folks make it seem difficult. It's not. So what's the better approach?

"Meditation is very simple. It's just sitting and paying attention to what there is. Whatever you hear is what you hear; whatever you feel is what you feel; whatever you think is what you think. Whatever is there [here!] is there. Do not push anything away."
Edel Maex, Mindfulness (2017)*

You don't have to sit for hours, even minutes. A few seconds of aware attention can do the trick.

We now know that meditation can do a body, a mind, a spirit good. Better health, better thoughts, better relationship with world around us.

If you're not meditating, start today. Actually, start now. Take a few seconds to simply pay attention to what's in your world, right here, right now, in this moment. Then, let it go and return to your day.

You have the time!

It's free, by the way. As Edel Maex also writes:

"There can be no teachers or masters. No one is an authority on what is here and now."

The 'gurus' are no smarter than you.

"Mindfulness finds its origins in Buddhist meditation techniques. Instead of trying to achieve goals that lie far ahead in the future, mindfulness teaches you to be present in the moment, with a compassionate and open mind."
